Training demonstration

This manual demonstrates device handling with a silicone training pad. Follow the supplied pen and cartridge instructions and your authorised protocol.

PREPARE THE PEN

Begin with the cartridge

Work through the 19 steps in order. Every image is shown in full so the pen, counter, needle attachment and spring-loaded lid remain easy to check.

STEP 01

Open the sealed NΛD+ pouch

Peel the white strip back from the far right-hand end.

Keep the cartridge inside the sterile field until you are ready to load it.

STEP 02

Remove the spring-loaded lid

Pull the long white lid straight off and keep it nearby.

The lid is longer than the clear cartridge carrier and conceals the fitted needle when replaced.

Remove the clear cartridge carrier

Turn the empty clear carrier anticlockwise and remove it.

Hold the pen body steady and turn only the chrome-ended carrier.

STEP 04

Load the NΛD+ cartridge

Insert the silver capped end first. The black rubber plunger enters last.

Check the cartridge direction before reattaching the carrier.

Attach the loaded carrier

Screw the chrome-ended carrier clockwise onto the pen until secure.

The carrier should sit securely against the pen with the counter window still visible.

Open a new 32G needle

Peel off the needle seal completely.

Use a new sterile 32G 4mm needle for each demonstration.

Screw the capped needle on

Grip the large clear outer cap and screw the green 32G hub flush onto the carrier thread.

The green hub attaches to the carrier end—not to the rear dial.

STEP 08

Remove and keep the outer cap

Pull the large clear tapered cap straight off. The short inner cap stays on.

Keep the large clear cap nearby; you will use it again before disposal.

Remove the small inner cap

Pull the short translucent inner cap off to expose the fine needle.

Do not touch the needle or allow it to contact another surface.

STEP 10

Prime the cartridge

Turn the dial clockwise so the rear sleeve extends. Press the grey end until a droplet appears at the needle tip.

The numbered rear sleeve is extended only during priming. A droplet confirms pressure at the needle tip.

STEP 11

Refit the spring-loaded lid

Push the original white safety lid fully over the carrier and fitted needle before the next step.

The lid matches the pen body, sits centrally and conceals the needle.

Return the dial to zero

After the droplet appears, rotate the dial anticlockwise until the counter reads 0.

The numbered rear sleeve must be fully retracted before setting the required value.

STEP 13

Set the required dial value

With the spring-loaded lid fitted, turn the rear dial clockwise to the value specified in your authorised protocol.

Each dial unit represents 0.1mg: 5 = 0.5mg, 10 = 1mg and 60 = 6mg.

STEP 14

Training pad demonstration

Press the full-length capped pen against the silicone training pad and press the grey end fully.

This page demonstrates device operation on a training pad only.

STEP 15

Remove the white lid

After the demonstration, pull the spring-loaded safety lid straight off.

Keep the pen aligned and pull the lid away in a straight line.

Cover the needle

Guide the kept large clear tapered cap over the needle without touching it.

Use the large outer cap as the safe grip point for removing the needle.

Remove and dispose

Unscrew the fully capped green needle directly into an approved sharps container.

Never store the pen with a needle attached.

Place the pen in the open case

Fit the white lid, place the pen in the open Revitalise case and position it inside the refrigerator.

Close the case fully after placing the pen inside.

STEP 19

Close the case and refrigerate

Close the Revitalise case and store it flat inside the refrigerator.

Store at 2–8°C, with 4°C as the optimal temperature. Do not freeze.

DIAL CONVERSION

Each dial unit equals 0.1mg

After priming, return the counter to 0. Refit the full-length spring-loaded lid before selecting the value specified in your authorised protocol.

STORAGE

Open case, load pen, close case

After removing the needle, refit the matching white lid and place the complete pen in the open case. Close the case fully before refrigerating at 2–8°C. The optimal temperature is 4°C. Do not freeze.
